THE LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST

Latest member of Arquid. How do I describe my self ?

Voyeaur architect by profession and creative by vocation. Sick of order, perfectionist and enthusiastic of teamwork. Conscious landscaper and crazy about design at work and life. Eager to live abroad.
Fan of television series, films and sound montage of it. Social person and public relationship.

So here I am, my first entrance in the blog will be a scene of great film. Areally special film, a current view of black cinema with a singular  sensitivity wher music, color , story and a little bit of dialogue wich is more than enough to pay attention to the rest of the film and way of act of the actors.

The scene takes place in an elevator. And is extraordinary how it starts and how it ends. A masterpiece of our time.

Stay tuned, I´ll be back with much more staff.

Sant Jordi´s dragon, masks, water and colors

Amazing normal things that make us think_This could be another way to make people understand an architect feelings+ideas either in the moment of a work-piece or during his whole life.

This video is an audiovisual mapping over the Batllo facade, revealing all the symbols and interpretations that inspired the great architect while creating such an exceptional facade.

Architecture Week 2012_TuÑon&MANSILLA

The Royal Collections Museum, Madrid

Emilio Tuñón gave an interesting and pleasant conference about the new Royal Collections Museum during Madrid’s Architecture Week. Obviously remembering his partner Luis Moreno Mansilla, and giving some short references about the city’s history, the river and the origin of the project, this building appears as a natural solution for this iconic site, growing up like a inhabited landscape. We face here a museum to be visited from top to down, culminated with a new access to ‘Campo del Moro’ Gardens.

This is a beautiful example of pure architecture. In every phase of the project development, even during foundations time, it is possible to understand the work character and intentions. Take a slow and deep look to the new created landscape: Almudena’s Cathedral finally has a base linking it to the Royal Palace, the square between both is finished and the present time becomes the link in a very silent and coherent way. This could be the key of Tuñón & Mansilla work, and this is the reason why works like this immediately become part of a city.

wElcome maRÍ JOse TOO!

Delicatessen (1991)

This is one’s of that things i found by coincidence any given Sunday...and I was delighted.
"Delicatessen" (1991) is the first project of french director Jean-Pierre Jeunet and designer Marc Caro. ("City of the Lost Children" (1995), “Amelie” (2001)).

This film may not be for everyone, as it is a mix of black comedy, sweet romance and surreal fantasy, and might seem at times too close to absurd or to be enjoyable. However, those with a taste for the bizarre, like me, will find a great movie in this comedy.

Enjoy it!

p.s.: My name is Marijose, a new member of Arquid’s family, and I hope this could be “the beginning of a beautiful friendship”, see you soon!
